The AMU Psychological Development and Support Center

At our University, the unit responsible for providing assistance in situations involving psychological and emotional problems is the Psychological Development and Support Centre.

The counselling centre offers broad assistance in coping with difficult situations in various areas of life, such as adapting to the new university environment, relationships with others, and personal and family problems. Visits vary in nature, ranging from consultations, scheduled support meetings, crisis intervention, to psychotherapy.

If you feel that you have no idea how to solve a problem, do not know how to overcome difficulties, and lack the strength or motivation to act, please contact us.

Psychological help on The Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology

The Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology offers free psychological counseling. Psychologist, Mr. Borys Szumański, is available on Thursdays between 10:00 and 15:00.

You can use psychological help if you struggle with:

  • learning difficulties,
  • problems with family and social relationships,
  • mood and emotion issues,
  • depressive and anxiety symptoms,
  • sleep and eating disorders,
  • worries concerning final exams,
  • adaptation and acclimatization issues,
  • other problems that make your everyday life dissatisfactory.

To schedule for a meeting (face-to-face or remote), please make an appointment at least one day in advance via email by sending a message to: borys.szumanski@amu.edu.pl. The counseling is being conducted in Polish and English.
